VOYPIC
The Rank Foundation has provided three year funding support to Voice Of Young People In Care for the employment of a Participation Development Worker in the Northern Health and Social Care Trust area.
The Participation Project offers an introduction to VOYPIC for care experienced children and young people up to the age of 25 years old. The project aids young people in building up support networks whilst encouraging them to boost their self-esteem and confidence. The project provides new opportunities for friendship, fun and skill development.
It’s important that young people’s voices are not ignored, and the participation project ensures that young people are provided with the opportunity to “have their say” about all aspects of the care system. The Participation Project offers different activities, all of which help to support young people in developing the skills and confidence necessary to voice their views and opinions.
